Jodhpur RIFF or Jodhpur Rajasthan International Folk Festival is a 5-Day-Long is a vibrant extravaganza of Rajasthani art and culture right at the foot of the Mehrangarh Fort in Jodhpur's the Thar Desert. It is a charitable, non-profit partnership project of India's two biggest heritage trusts- Mehrangarh Museum Trust and Jaipur Virasat Foundation and also been recognized by the UNESCO as a “People’s Platform for Creativity and Sustainable Development.” The Jodhpur RIFF celebrates Rajasthani dance that includes Algoza Party with male dancers of Kalbeliya, Fire dancers, Terah Talli dancers, Gair dancers, etc., with traditional instruments like sinshi sarangi, khartal, flutes, and drums along with modern instruments. The Festival also showcases a fusion of Indian and International music attracting a plethora of top-notch musicians and singers from around the world. Notably, the festival also organizes a storytelling session where different folklores are narrated in front of a vivid audience to honor the rich and vibrant culture of Rajasthan.
This year the festival is going to be celebrated from 10th October to 14th October 2019.
