Types of Darshan:
Sarva Darshan - Open for all for 18 to 20 hours in a day

Special Entry - Devotees can pay an amount of Rs.300 to go into a special queue so time could be saved.

Tips for travelers:
1. Book online darshan to avoid rush & save time
2. Do not carry electronic items, cameras, mobile phones as it is strictly prohibited inside the temple. Lockers are provided to store such gadgets.
3. Devotees must wear traditional dresses, for man, dhoti or kurta & for woman, Saree, Salwar suit etc.
4. Do not forget to try Tirupati laddoo, a special Prasadam offered to pilgrims by the temple

Best time to visit:
November to March. Summers are unbearably hot with temperatures pushing 45 degrees.

How to reach:

By Flight:
International travelers can land at Chennai airport and the Venkateswara Temple is 200 km away from Chennai. Whereas for domestic travelers, the closely located airport is in Renigunta at a distance of 39 km from the temple.

By Train:
The nearest railway station is the Tirupati Main Railway Station. The distance is about 21 Km.

By Bus:
State-run buses are easily available and connect Tirupati to most towns in Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka
