Description
The museum was set up a decade ago to preserve the craft and hand block printing of the artisans of Jaipur. It is a small museum made out of pink sandstone. Hand block printing is the main occupation of the artisans here. When you enter the museum, you will find large boards in the open courtyard which explain the process of hand block printing. Once the design is finalized, often floral or geometric, it is then carved into wooden blocks and printed on fabrics. More than 100 garments are on display here in two galleries.
