Description
While most of the temples and other worship places in Chennai display a beautiful design made of rocks, this two-tiered Shantinath Jain temple is a marvel in itself as it was made from limestone and marble. Shimmering white and showcasing the brilliance in architecture, this temple attracts a lot of visitors owing to its beauty and modern-day design. The temple arc is shaped in twin converging elephant tusks while the tomb is flanked by pillars and eternal flame. Dedicated to Lord Shantinath, you would also find stunning sculptures of Lord Mahavira and other tirinthkaras. Besides this, the ceiling of the temple has little sculptures of musicians and dancers.
