Description
Founded in 1808 and consecrated in 1816, St. Mark s Cathedral is located on the popular M.G. Road in Bangalore. The cathedral is built in old colonial style architecture, with a beautiful dome over a semicircular chancel and Roman arches decorating the walls. It was built along the lines of the 17th-century St Pauls Cathedral. The church is also credited with having one of the best-maintained external bells amongst all churches in Bangalore. The delicate woodwork, carvings and stained glasswork add to the beauty of the church.
