Neither metal nor wood was used to avoid depletion in later stages. Made of grey-coloured granite, the mosque has two minarets in the front. The grounds of the mosque are often used as a place for conducting religious and cultural functions. During the month of Ramzan and Id, the mosque is flooded with many devotees. Another special event that is grandly celebrated is Prophet s birthday in the vast grounds of the mosque. Besides the prayer hall, the mosque is also home to the tombs of various Muslim saints.
