Description
IGIA was conferred the fourth best airport award in the world in the 15–25 million category, and Best Improved Airport in the Asia-Pacific Region by Airports Council International in 2010. The airport was rated as the Best airport in the world in the 25–40 million passengers category in 2015, by Airports Council International. Delhi Airport was awarded The Best Airport in Central Asia and Best Airport Staff in Central Asia at the SkytraxWorld Airport Awards 2015. IGI also stood first in the new rankings for 2015 Airport Service Quality (ASQ) Awards conducted by Airports Council International. The airport, along with Mumbai Airport was adjudged "World's Best Airport" at Airport Service Quality Awards 2017 in the highest category of airports handling more than 40 million passengers annually.

Transport Modes To Reach
Airport Express Metro-
This is the fastest mode to reach city centre (Cannaught Place) or New Delhi railway station. It operates between 4:30 AM to 11:30 PM. It takes 19 minute to reach New Delhi railway station from T3. The metro station is situated just in front of T3 and one can take airport trolley to platform. If staying at any hotel in Cannaught place then can take metro to Shivaji stadium and then walk or take auto to hotel.If staying at Paharganj then can take metro to New Delhi and then can take auto to Paharganj.Airport metro also connects to Yellow line of DMRC so can change to Yellow line to reach different parts of Delhi
Bus-
Delhi Transport Corporation operates Low Floor (so called AC ) buses to ISBT Kashmiri gate/Sarai Kalenkhan/Anand Vihar. The bus to Kashmiri gate operates 24 hrs,starts from T3 then T2>T1>Dhaula Kuan>CP>New Delhi railway station>Daryaganj>ISBT. Rest bus available from PTC Centaur Hotel and have less frequent and also not operate during night.They are Airport express bus so less stop and more fare,means less local passengers in between.
Haryana Roadways-
It operates Volvo to Chandigarh from Airport at regular intervals. It starts from Public Transport Centre near T3/T2,free shuttles are available from terminal to PTC,no need to take cab.
